Helping local businesses has proved a winner for Virtual Assistant service

Thursday 18 February, 2010

Lisa, an experienced businesswoman who has previously worked for multi-nationals such as BP, recognised a need from cash-strapped businesses for affordable solutions to their admin needs. But Lisa decided to take this concept one step further by helping them to grow their businesses. Her proactive approach to the Virtual Assistant concept has given many small enterprises the step-up they so desperately needed.
Now, celebrating its first year of trading, In a Pickle has over 30 clients from all over the Reading, Newbury and Thames Valley area.

In a Pickle specialises in providing office support services to all kinds of small businesses who need the skills and knowledge of an experienced PA – without the overhead costs and employee hassles.
“My whole philosophy since launching In a Pickle has been to help businesses in innovative ways so that they benefit. Whether it’s to improve their systems or explore the world of social media, I strive to be more than just an extra pair of hands,” explains Lisa.

In a Pickle’s proactive way of supporting small businesses in the area has meant many more are now lining up to take advantage of her services.
“Using In a Pickle enables small businesses to do just what they set out to do in the first place – achieve their individual goals and make a success of things.”  My motto is “work smarter, not harder” - people who use In a Pickle love the fact that they’re no longer bogged down in the mundane tasks & can actually concentrate on what they do best, such as finding new clients,” she adds.

Lisa’s services cover anything from bookkeeping and office management to marketing, website development and lifestyle management.
Newbury based Executive coaching company, Greenfields Consultancy has been using In a Pickle since March 2009 and say they’re amazed at the difference it has made to their business.
Michelle Lucas Director of Greenfields Consultancy said: “Lisa has been a delight to work with, very enthusiastic and flexible in her approach. She knows how to use her initiative and really run with things – a genuine PA who will do some of your thinking for you, so much more than an admin assistant.”
“I noticed a big impact on my business soon after I began using In a Pickle, especially relating to how quickly I can turn things around for my own clients. With Lisa managing tasks while I’m with clients I can  come back to the office and find that the task is already done or is “ready to go” for me to do. She is quite simply a star,” added Michelle.

Resourceful as ever, Lisa celebrated In a Pickle’s first Birthday by handing out cupcakes made by The Kooky Cake Company to all her Thames Valley clients and business associates.
