Focal Point Coaching was formed in 2000 and is run by Steve Jones. For over 20 years Steve worked in senior buying and selling roles at board level for a variety of organisations across the FMCG sector.Steve is one of the UK’s leading negotiation experts and commercial coaches – so much so that he was asked to comment on Tesco’s negotiation approach on Panorama, David Cameron’s EU negotiations on Radio 5 Live and the recent KFC issues on breakfast television. 

He is a qualified mediator, is frequently asked for comment on BBC Radio and a visiting lecturer at Kent Business School. He specialises in working with leaders that need to deliver tangible and measurable results for organisations. He is particularly effective in situations where there is a requirement for clients to handle conflict, be particularly persuasive or build strong relationships. 

He is personally involved in negotiating high level contracts for many of his clients – particularly post merger supplier negotiations - and is highly experienced in preparing professionals to face the rigors of top level negotiating. 

As well as running his own consultancy he serves as a non-executive director and a mentor for a number of businesses.
